God gives us pets, but when they die
 He knows that we will cry and cry.
It’s not forever that we say goodbye;
I know you all await me in the sky.

Note:  The artist does not believe that pets or any animal are offered salvation by faith as humans are.  Since our loving God is preparing a place in heaven for every believer, why wouldn't He give us pets to enjoy?  He is the one after all who created them for us to enjoy and is able to bring them back to life even as He will with us.
